E-Z Pay eliminates the need to write a check for your electric bill and you will still receive a regular monthly bill for your review. There are two easy options to participate in E-Z Pay:
1. Authorize MED to automatically deduct your electric bill from your checking or savings account each month. This payment will be processed by your financial institution on the net payment date indicated on your bill. When enrolling, please allow four business days for the first draft to be initiated.
2. Authorize MED to deduct your electric bill from your credit/debit card. Your payment would be charged on the net payment date indicated on your bill. You can enroll for this option online or contact MED customer service.
Your monthly billing statement as well as your MED online account would reflect enrollment in the E-Z Pay program.

Budget billing provides residential customers a way to guard against large fluctuations in their monthly electric bill, without ever having to play “catch-up” at the end of the year. Budget billing is based on a rolling average of your electric bill over the last 12 month period. It brings the highest bills down and the lowest bills up to approximately the same amount each month.
A 12-month satisfactory payment history is required to enroll and remain in this program.
